RIBCCDP IS MOVING - JULY 22, 2011
Please be advised that as a result of recent personnel changes the RIBCCDP has
voted and approved to contract with the Pennsylvania Certification Board (PCB)
to administer all of the services that were being performed by our existing
Administrator Johanna Rylands. Johanna has been offered and accepted a great
position in the State of Vermont and we all wish her the very best.
Once the board learned that Johanna would be leaving, we weighed all of our
options and in light of the fact we had not received our funding from the State
of Rhode Island for 2010 and were officially notified we would not be funded
from 2011 on, we wanted to make the most fiscally sound decision possible.
We did not want to make a decision that would cause certification fees to
increase and contracting with the PCB seemed to be the best option.
The Pennsylvania Certification Board’s (PCB) office is located at 298 South
Progress Avenue, Harrisburg, PA 17109. As of July 22, 2011, all services
provided by the RIBCCDP will now be administered by PCB. PCB will review
initial applications, schedule examinations, review recertification applications,
award certificates, notify professionals of upcoming recertification deadlines,
answer any/all questions pertaining to Rhode Island certifications.
PCB currently administers the Delaware Certification Board and manages the
International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium (ICRC). The PBC staff has
been providing the same services to their constituents that the RIBCCDP has
over the past 21 years. Both RI and Pennsylvania offer the same credentials so
this should be a smooth transition.
The RIBCCDP’s telephone number will transfer all calls automatically to the PCB
office. All mail will be forwarded to the PCB office. We will be sending out a
follow-up to this correspondence with important contact information prior to
Johanna’s last day.
